I can confirm that I have been booked to DJ at the Big Chill Festival which will take place at the stunning Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Ledbury, UK, August 5-8th 2010. This is always a stunning celebration of music and life – an essential weekend on the calendar – an absolute MUST!

Fragile State launch in Russia

It’s been confirmed today that Russian label Dreamusic will be releasing our Fragile State back-catalogue.

The first release will be on April 14th seeing the highly-acclaimed ‘The Facts and the Dreams’ album getting teamed up with the Remix album that was part of the ‘Remixes/Classics’ triple box-set (named one of the ‘albums of the year’ on iTunes). The remixes features some reworks from the likes of 4Hero, Jimpster, Digitonal, Ralph Myerz, Future Loop Foundation, Alucidnation and inputJunkie but to name a few. ‘The Facts and the Dreams’ was also named ‘album of the year’ by Pete Lawrence (Big Chill co-founder) and Robert Elms (BBC London) and was described by music magazine B&S as ‘the Rolls Royce of Ambient music’.

‘Voice From The Dust Bowl’ will be released later in the year, scheduled for August.

It’s lovely to know that the Fragile State music is still hitting the spot – and we are pleased to be collaborating with Dreamusic. Obviously, Russia has a massive market and fingers crossed we’ll make our mark there like we have in many other territories.

I’ve been featured as a recommended profile in the Jazz/Ambient Category as part of Mixcloud’s new Category/Genre pages.

The pages – launched this week by Mixcloud – “are designed to showcase some of the best stations, shows and DJs within 10 music and 6 talk Categories – editorially selected by the Mixcloud team and guest editors. They are a great way for listeners to browse Categories they’re interested in and easily discover high quality shows and mixes”. And they’ve chosen me… which is nice!
